Students turn classroom into film studio
On November 7th, 2012 St Catharines Collegiate high school students decided to turn their classroom into a filming studio to film a video about bullying.
Their purpose to show teenagers what it feels like to get bullied and what they go through everyday.
"This video wants to send a message out there for teenagers to stop bullying and the only way that will happen is for people to know what it feels like walking in someones shoes who gets bullied" Said grade 12 student Malik Gord.
"It might not change everyone's perspective but it might make a small change' says grade 11 student Helin Eb.
Students from grades 9-12 will be playing different roles in the film of by standers, victims and bullies. This way they will know what it's like being in a victims place. "Bullying is something that happens everyday and no one should ever feel unwanted. If we want to stop this, and make a change, we need to start by changing ourselves," said grade 12 English teacher Mrs Nikki Mikki.
The students finished the film and posted everywhere for people to see.
